PACEP Governance

Board of Directors

The PACEP Board of Directors is a diverse group of practicing emergency physicians. They include academicians, private practice physicians, large group, small group, individual physicians, board- certified, board-eligible, rural, urban, residents…that is the full range of emergency medicine experience.

There are twelve members who are elected to serve a maximum of two consecutive, three-year terms. Board membership also includes at least one resident representative. The members of the Board of Directors do not receive any compensation for their services.

Interested in serving as a PACEP leader? Now is your chance! We're looking for members who are passionate about EM and energized to take PACEP into the future. Available director positions coming available in 2026 include: active members of the board of directors, resident board members, and leadership fellows. Self nominations are being accepted or you can nominate a colleague. Email PACEP Secretary Dr. Eric Melnychuk, emelnychuk@geisinger.edu by November 30, 2025. Please include a candidate statement and CV for a nomination statement, CV and written acceptance of the nomination from the nominee.
